“I think we gave them an idea,” he whispered.
Sarah-Jane blushed, and he responded by caressing her ass. She leaned into him and glanced at the couple whispering to themselves. When the man followed suit and reached behind his date, Callum pulled her into him and kissed her forehead.
“See? We are trendsetters.”
“And you are relentless.”
“Come on. Let’s go and enjoy the music. I think you’ll like the chosen entertainment.”
“Who is playing?” she asked, cocking her head trying to hear the music.
They walked back into the party, his hand in hers and she looked at the stage.
“Are you kidding me?” Sarah-Jane squealed as she recognized the song. “Is that a cover band? Please tell me that’s just a cover band.”
“This event never skimps on entertainment. They are the real deal.”
“You’re serious? That’s Billy Jones singing right now?”
Callum nodded, amused. “Would you like to dance?”
But Sarah-Jane had already moved onto the dance floor with her arms in the air. She jumped around as if no one was watching and he followed her, keeping his distance so he could to watch her. When the music slowed he took her hand. Sarah-Jane’s attention was still on the stage, but she leaned into him. They swayed to the love song as if they were one.
“I don’t want this night to end,” she said. “ I’m having an amazing time. I feel like Cinderella at the ball.”
“This doesn’t have to end. You have done something to me and I don’t think I mind.”
They danced to every song Billy Jones sang and by the end of the night Sarah-Jane was on cloud nine. Between the sex, the alcohol, the dancing, and mingling with the famous and the rich, she never thought she would be the same again.
“I think I know how to end the night,” he whispered. “Follow me.”
Sarah-Jane slipped her hand into his. They walked out of the room and down the hallway once more to the back door where his limo sat and waited for them.
“Where are we going?”
His silence made her giddy with excitement as he opened the back door and helped her inside. Callum climbed in after her and sat across from her as he had done previously. She looked around when the car didn’t move.
“Where is the driver?”
“I gave him a few hours to himself.”
“So, what are we…”
Before Sarah-Jane could finish the question, Callum was off his seat and next to her, his hands cradling her face. He pressed his lips into hers as his hands explored her again.
“I don’t know if I can…” she breathed.
“Shh. Let me. I can’t get enough of you.”
Her breath caught and he took advantage of it, closing his mouth over hers and deepening his kiss. Callum slipped her dress off her shoulders, his kisses chasing the material down her arm. She pulled her arm out and stroked his face. Her touch fueled him. He trailed the tip of his tongue down her shoulder to her breasts, swelling with each breath. He pushed them together and laid his cheek on them, inhaling deeply before pulling her dress to her waist.
“I won’t do anything you don’t want to do, but I will tell you, I want to do everything to you,” he growled.
Staring at him, her breathing was hard and labored. She inched her dress down over her hips and discarded.
Callum smiled and kissed her again, his arms encompassing her waist and pulling her off the seat. He pulled her on his lap until she straddled him, his hand fishing around in his pocket for another condom. Holding it, he grinned at her.
“You want me to…?” Sarah-Jane took the small silver square and looked down between them at his pants. “Are you sure about that? I’m not exactly experienced in this department.”
“I trust you,” he whispered.
Sarah-Jane slid off his lap and knelt between his legs, her hands reaching to unbutton his pants. Callum leaned back and watched Sarah-Jane. He slid down the seat to give her better access, his hands caressing her arms and shoulders as she fought to set him free. She pulled the button and finally unzipped his pants as he watched with an amused expression.
“You’re not going to make this easy for me, are you?” she said, a little frustrated.
She managed to pull him free and roll the condom on. When Sarah-Jane sat back, he scooped her up and slid her onto the seat. Callum guided her onto her back, grabbing her panties and with one good yank, he ripped them off. He crushed her with his weight as his hands slid down her stomach to her pussy.
Sarah-Jane panted as he pushed his fingers inside her and moved them in and out. Callum sucked her nipple as his other hand grabbed a handful of her hair. Pulling her head back, he exposed her neck and feasted on her flesh. He waited for her to come close to orgasm and stopped, sitting up and watching her slowly come down from it.
“Why do you do that?” she asked almost out of breath.
“It gives a better orgasm. Plus, I like to watch you struggle to control yourself, my Sarah-Jane.”
He moved her so she was leaning over the back of the seat and looking out the back window. Her ass was up in the air as she knelt on the edge. He rubbed her cheek and, without warning, slapped it, causing her to jump. Callum leaned into her and licked her ear before moving back from her. He rubbed his palm in the same spot and slapped her again. She jumped and winced, causing his cock to pulsate.
“Hmm, yes,” he said.
He watched her as she squirmed. He rubbed the spot that was turning pink and licked it before slapping her again. Sarah-Jane jumped and winced as his hand rubbed the spot again.
Callum moved his hand between her legs and stroked her until she started rocking her hips back and forth, her juices coating his fingers. He struck her cheek in the same spot again and she moaned. Her movements and reactions got him so worked up he felt like his cock was going to explode.
Grabbing her hips, he lined himself up behind her, the head of his cock pushing against her opening. Stopping himself, he rubbed her cheek one more time and spanked her harder. When she jumped, he pushed himself forward so he was completely inside her. Sarah-Jane let out a long guttural groan, and her muscles tensed around his cock. He stroked in and out as his hands gripped her hips. He sped up and slammed into her, fucking her like a beast until she screamed and rocked her body back and forth. She flipped her head, her hair cascading down her back. Grabbing a handful, he held her in position.
Callum felt pressure build quickly and rocked into her, exploding inside. His body stiffened before it gave him back his freedom. He curled himself over her and kissed her, sensing her heavy breathing as she rested her head on the back of the seat in her arms.
“My God, you’re going to kill me,” Callum whispered.
Pulling away, he fixed his pants, fastening the button and zipping up before sitting next to her. He pulled her still naked body into him and let her curl up on his lap as he stroked her.
“I’ve never had that before,” she said out of breath.
“You’ve never had what before?”
“Two orgasms in one night. That was incredible.”
“I would love to try a third if you’re up for it.”
The want was clear in her eyes. “Do I have a third one in me?” she mused.
“I still have a lot to give you. And there is so much more I want to take from you.”
She let out a long sigh as he kissed her face. He gathered her dress up and handed it to her.
“Allow me to escort you back into the party. We’ll say our goodbyes and then perhaps we can go to my place or yours, whatever you decide. We could grab a late-night snack then spend the night together. I would love to take a long hot bath with you, and I make a mean breakfast.”
Callum waited for Sarah-Jane to put herself back together before he opened the car door, offering his hand to help her out. The idea that she had nothing on underneath her dress had his mind reeling and his cock hard again.
CHAPTER
10
Sarah-Jane
SARAH-JANE climbed out of the back of the limousine and fixed her dress as best as she could. She didn’t feel as put together as she did when she first got to the party, but she wouldn’t have changed a thing. As they walked back to the party, she felt sexy knowing the most eligible bachelor in the city had just fucked her twice, ripping her clothes from her body before he did.
Callum opened the door for her, and she reached for her purse.
“Oh, my purse! I must have left it in the coat closet.”
“Do you want me to go and find it for you?”
“No, I’ll go. You go back to the party. Mingle. Say your goodbyes. I’ll come find you and pull you away from all your highfalutin friends.”
He pulled her into him and kissed her hard. “Don’t keep me waiting.” His tone compelled her to stay in his arms a moment or two longer before breaking free.
She watched him disappear into the party before going back to the end of the hallway where he had accosted her the first time. Sarah-Jane found the closet and cautiously opened the door. A brighter light was on, and an employee was sorting through the coats with a couple of tickets in her hands. The attendant looked up at her.
“Oh, I’m sorry,” said Sarah-Jane, blushing. “Err, there was no one at the coat check. I just came to collect my, um, my coat.”
“Do you have your ticket, miss?”
“Oh, yes.” She pretended to reach for her purse. With an exhausted look on her face, she looked at the attendant. “I must have left my purse with my husband. He has been bugging me to leave. Do I need to find him and retrieve my ticket?”
“That is normally the procedure, but if you could describe your coat, I can try to find it for you.”
“It’s…” she hesitated. Remembering that Callum had kicked the beautiful fur coat she had gotten fucked on behind the others, she said. “It’s mink. A medium brown with darker stripes throughout.”
The attendee turned to the coats still hanging up and began to search. Sarah-Jane took the opportunity to look for her purse and found it in the corner behind the coats. Next to her purse laid the fur coat she had described. She quickly grabbed her purse and backed up to the open door.
“I’m sorry,” she said, sticking her head out the door. “There’s my husband. He has it in his hand. I wasn’t aware that he had already retrieved it. Thank you anyway.”
“Okay,” the attendant smiled. “Have a good night.”
Sarah-Jane smiled back and closed the door behind her. She scooted back to the party and just before she went inside she felt her purse vibrate. Retrieving her phone, she looked at the three missed texts from Joey.
Please call me as soon as you can. I’m stuck at this coffee shop, and I think they are going to be closing soon.
Frustrated, she went to the next text.
Coffee shop closed. I’ll take a walk and hope to hear from you. I have nowhere to go. I didn’t think it was a problem to crash at your place. Now I’m feeling like I’m intruding into something I shouldn’t have.
Maybe I should have called first. Sorry.
Sarah-Jane felt guilty for keeping Joey waiting, even though she didn’t know he was going to be in town. She couldn’t just leave him.
“Sarah-Jane?” Callum appeared in the doorway, and she froze.
“Hi.”
“Is everything okay?”
“Yeah. Um, actually no.”
“What’s happened?”
“I have to change our plans. I’m so sorry.” She held her phone up. “I got a text and I have to go. It’s sort of an emergency.”
“By all means, absolutely. Can I drive you someplace?”
“No, that’s okay. Stay and have fun.”
“Nonsense. I’ll have my driver take you wherever you need to go. I have tired of this party, anyway.”
“I insist. Stay. Just promise me you’ll call me,” she said.
Pulling her into him, he kissed her forehead. “I’ll do you one better than that.”
“What could you possibly do that will top what you have already done?”
“It would be just like me to show up with a dozen roses the next time I see you.”
She fought the urge to stay with him. “You’re quite the Romeo, aren’t you?”
“When I see something I want, I do everything I can to get it.”
Callum held her there until she understood, and then gave her one final kiss she wouldn’t forget. She watched him until he disappeared back into the party, then she went outside and called Joey.
“Sarah-Jane?”
“Hi, I’m sorry I missed your texts. I didn’t have my phone with me. Are you okay?”
“Honestly, no. I’m sorry, I’m an idiot. You probably had plans or something. I shouldn’t have shown up like I did.”
“Stop it. I’m on my way. Where are you?”
“Around the block from your apartment at a park. I’m going to head to the bus station. I think the police are about to stop in and chat with me. They must think I’m homeless or loitering.”
“Don’t go anywhere. I’m on my way. Meet me in front of my apartment.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes, I’ll be there in about twenty minutes.” Hanging up, she took a deep breath. “What am I doing?”
CHAPTER 11
Sarah-Jane
AS THE CAB neared her apartment, she cradled her head in her hands.
“Did I just leave a fabulous man for my ex-boyfriend because he made bad decisions?”
“Excuse me, miss?”
Sarah-Jane looked up and saw the driver’s eyes in the rearview mirror. “Do you ever think that sometimes you’re too nice? That doing the right thing can be detrimental to your own happiness?”
“Honey, I haven’t been happy in over fifteen years. I’m a cab driver who lives with his mother.”
Sarah-Jane sat there in silence.
“That’ll be eighteen-fifty,” the driver said as pulled up to her apartment.
She handed him a twenty and climbed out of the back. “Thank you.”
Joey sat, slumped over on the front steps of her building. Sarah-Jane remembered how difficult it was for her to get over him when they first broke up – the lonely nights, the countless times she picked up the phone to call him, just to put it down again.
This was no different, only this time she would have to face him. She never thought she would want anyone else but Joey until she experienced Callum. It was then that she realized Joey never really did it for her. She loved him in the four years they were together, but she was never in lust with him.
I know what I have to do, she thought. Come on, you need to set him straight. Break it off for good. You have a good start to a new life.
The cab pulled away, leaving her to deal with her past.
“Hey,” Sarah-Jane said as she walked closer.
Joey didn’t look up. She knew him well enough to know he was embarrassed, and like old times she sat next to him, placing her arm around him.
“You feel really good,” he said leaning into her. “You look amazing, too.”
It was her turn to stay silent. Sarah-Jane realized she didn’t feel the giddy emotions that she once had for him. She wondered why she felt like she was going to regret inviting him into her apartment. If it were under any other circumstances, she would have turned him away.
“Come in,” she said standing up and taking his hand.
“Are you sure?”
Nodding, she unlocked the front door. She led him up to the fourth floor and once they were inside, she offered him a drink.
“I’ll have anything alcoholic.”
Going into the kitchen to grab him a beer, Sarah-Jane opted for a bottle of water for herself.
“Have you had a lot to drink tonight?” she asked as she handing him the beer.
Joey shrugged, but didn’t meet her eyes.
“Are you okay?” She sat beside him on the couch. “How is everything goi
ng in New York? Is it everything everybody says it is?”
“It’s incredible. Everything is going well. I’ve been great, never better.”
“Something tells me that’s not true.” Sarah-Jane watched as he took a long drink from the bottle of beer.
“Honestly, it isn’t what I expected at all.”
“Don’t tell me they let you go.”
“No. That’s fine. I’m doing well there. No, not having you there, Sarah-Jane. It is so much harder than I thought it would be. I know I told you we wanted different things and that going in separate directions was best, but I think I was wrong. I’m not just here to spend Valentine’s Day with you. I’ve been trying to get up the courage to ask you for a second chance.”
“Second chance?” she repeated, her heart skipping a beat. She knew the answer but was afraid to say it out loud.
“A second chance at us. I want what we had. I was an idiot to let you go and think that it was okay. I guess deep down I thought I could always come back if I wanted to.”
“What about your career? You said you were doing well there.”
“I can do IT anywhere. It didn’t take me that long to get established in New York. I can do that here too.”
“Joey…” She was ready to give her argument, but when he pursed his lips and flopped back into the couch, she knew the tone she used when saying his name was enough.
“And there it is.”
“I love you. Don’t take this the wrong way. I always have, but I don’t think that it’s a good idea to try this relationship again.”
“I was afraid you would say that.” Joey turned and took her hands in his, pulling them to his mouth. “I’m still in love with you, Sarah-Jane. I don’t want to be without you.”
“That’s why you came here, isn’t it?” she asked, pulling her hands back and fidgeting with the label on her bottle.
